Alison Evans
Based on traditional chain mail techniques Alison Evans' jewellery is concerned with touch and movement. The textile qualities of the metal links fall naturally, accentuating the sensual curves of the body. The pieces have an internal architecture of form and simplicity that is balanced by an exuberant play of luminosity and shade. Stones and pearls provide colour, enhancing the reflective and dynamic sensibilities of these works. These pieces possess a baroque harmony of light, proportion and attention to detail and, of course, fun.
