Charlie High Designs
From an early age, Charlie was attracted to jewellery. He collected stones, shells, pieces of metal and he progressed to learning how to make jewellery. On his return to the UK, he studied at Kensington & Chelsea College and received enough credits on a London College of Fashion course to be offered a place at the Guildhall to study for an HND. He recently completed an Advanced Crafts City & Guilds in jewellery design and silversmithing at Chichester College. The underlying link between all of his pieces is the influence of his environment. Many of the pieces have an organic origin, adapted to be wearable as a piece of jewellery. Shells, leaves, flowers and pebbles have been particularly influential, as well as landscapes, buildings and other man-made objects.
