Linnie Mclarty
Linnie has a fine art background. Having a deep interest in art and design, and a passion for jewellery, it was almost inevitable that the two would eventually combine. Her work is organic in nature and strongly inspired by aquatic life forms, fossils and plants. The innovative application of enamel in her recent work is combined with textual metal effects to produce quirky sculptural forms. Linnie has developed an inventive method of attaching them to fabric. Her approach to jewellery is at times playful, but there is an underlying symbolism in her work. She strongly believes that the right piece of jewellery can put a positive spin on your entire day.
